The role involves operating, adjusting, and maintaining a variety of hi-tech equipment related to maker space and design labs. Additionally, the technician will respond to questions, train, and assist students and staff as needed with programs and equipment. Candidates must have knowledge of design and/or engineering practices in relation to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math; modern technological equipment, including robotics, electronics, video creating, 3-D design/printing, and other tools to assist in design processes; and operation, adjustment and minor maintenance of computers and peripheral equipment. Qualifications include a high school diploma and one year of experience working with school-age children in an organized setting, as well as some experience in maker space or design lab operation. This part-time position is for 3 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months per year, with hours to be determined, and is contingent on annual funding, currently only funded for the 2024-2025 school year.
