FCUSD is seeking dedicated teachers who thrive in a collaborative environment to join our team. As part of our school community, teachers work together in collaborative teams to ensure the success of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).

• Identify, prescribe, and select materials to meet the instructional needs of assigned students.
• Establish standards of student performance which can be quantitatively and qualitatively evaluated.
• Assist District and site-level specialists in the identification, assessment, and resolution of special student problems.
• Administer group tests in accordance with District or school testing programs.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding the individual student’s progress.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records of pupil progress, achievement, and attendance.
• Use a variety of techniques and methods while teaching.
• Develop and implement lesson plans to provide for the needs of the students.
• Acquire knowledge and develop strategies essential to effectively teach assigned students.
• Attend District workshops, professional in-services, and/or college classes to keep current.
• Develop/use course outlines and long-range lesson plans.
• Maintain a behavioral climate in the classroom conducive to student learning.
• Work cooperatively with the entire school staff.
• Plan and coordinate the work of teacher aides, teacher assistants, and volunteers.
• Assume responsibility for the safety and welfare of students in the classroom.
• Attend required meetings called by administrators.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Valid California teaching credential authorizing service in the assigned grade and/or subject area.
• New credential program graduates may be considered with an attached letter from the program.
• DOJ Clearance / Background Check.
• TB Clearance.
• Valid CA Driver’s License.
• Verification of Appropriate California Credential(s).
• Board of Trustees Approval.
